TES Theatre’s Partner in Secondary Education

IDEAS HIGH SCHOOL

IDEAS High School is a Distributed Learning Community in Vancouver BC, for grades 8 – 12.

IDEAS offers optional classes 2 days/week, in the same building as TES Theatre, on complementary days.

Subjects offered include the usual high school courses (math, socials, english, science etc), but students can also get credit for everything they do at TES Theatre.

Through collaboration with the teachers, documentation provided by the students, and coordination between the programs, school credits can include courses such as Theatre History, Drama, Language Arts, Music, Dance, Choreography, Musical Theatre, Creative Writing, Shakespeare, Capstone Projects, and more.

IDEAS offers an exceptionally inclusive and individualized atmosphere for learning. Through small class sizes, optional attendance, online & blended options, a commitment to social justice, a respectful and friendly environment, and the best high school teacher anyone could imagine, IDEAS provides a unique high school experience.
